1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account and using this service, you accept these terms.

The service is provided by Tidex / Hjalmar Samuel Kristensen-Karlsen.

2. Description of the service

The service is a personal shift-tracking and salary calculation tool. We provide tools to log hours, calculate pay based on your settings and manage shift data.

Important: Salary calculations are estimates based on the data you provide. We do not guarantee accuracy and recommend verifying every result with your employer or accountant.

3. Age requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to use the service, in line with Norwegian labour regulations.

4. User account

  • You are responsible for keeping your login information secure.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • You must provide correct and up-to-date information.
  • Every user is independent — there is no employer/employee relationship between users.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for illegal purposes.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or data.
  • Disrupt or harm the functionality of the service.
  • Automate access to the service without explicit permission.
  • Abuse or bypass the payment system.

6. Subscription and payment

Tidex offers paid subscriptions that unlock premium features. Payment terms vary by platform:

  • Website: Subscriptions purchased via tidex.no are handled by Stripe. You can manage and cancel via your account settings.
  • iOS app: Subscriptions purchased in the iOS app are handled by Apple via In-App Purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You manage and cancel your subscription in the App Store settings on your device (Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions).

Auto-renewal

All subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the next billing period.

Price changes

For subscriptions purchased via the website, we will notify you of price changes. For iOS subscriptions, price changes follow Apple's processes, and you may be asked to consent to new pricing before renewal.

Refunds

For subscriptions purchased via the website, refunds are evaluated individually—contact us at contact@tidex.no. For iOS purchases, refunds are handled by Apple under App Store policies. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to request a refund.

7. Your data and ownership

  • You own every piece of data you add to the service.
  • You allow us to store and process the data so we can operate the service.
  • We only store raw shift data — salary calculations happen in real time on the server or your device.
  • When you delete your account, all data is removed immediately.

8. Limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:

  • Errors in salary calculations or losses that result from them.
  • Loss of data caused by technical issues.
  • Downtime or unavailability of the service.
  • Any damage arising from your use of the service.

You use the service at your own risk. Our maximum liability is limited to the amount you paid during the last 12 months.

9. Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time from the settings area.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you break these terms.
  • When the account is closed you lose access to every piece of data in the system.

10. iOS app terms

The following additional terms apply when you use the Tidex iOS application downloaded from the Apple App Store:

Acknowledgement

You acknowledge that these terms are between you and Tidex only, not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). Tidex, not Apple, is solely responsible for the Tidex app and its content.

Scope of license

The license granted to you is limited to a non-transferable license to use the Tidex app on any Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. The app may be accessed by other accounts associated with you via Family Sharing or volume purchasing.

Maintenance and support

Tidex is solely responsible for providing maintenance and support for the app. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support services.

Warranty

Tidex is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Any other warranty claims are Tidex's sole responsibility.

Product claims

Tidex, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and claims under consumer protection or privacy legislation.

Intellectual property

In the event of any third-party claim that the app infringes intellectual property rights, Tidex, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of such claims.

Third-party beneficiary

You acknowledge and agree that Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms. Upon your acceptance, Apple has the right to enforce these terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

11. Legal compliance

By using the service, you represent and warrant that: (i) you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country; and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

12. Third-party services

When using the Tidex app, you must comply with any applicable third-party terms of agreement, such as your mobile data service agreement.

13. Changes to the terms

We may update these terms. Significant changes are announced via email or in the product before they take effect. Continued use after that means you accept the changes.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes are handled by Norwegian courts.
